About the project

Our goal is to create a portable health device for your heart with an application focusing on keeping track of your daily health levels and progress.

To create a simple mobile app integrated to your BP, Sugar level and other monitoring devices connected to a physical device is a perfect example of a direction of future usage.

UNDERSTANDING THE PROBLEM

My team and I conducted a series of interviews and survey data to get a general idea of what problems people face in dealing with health issues and they devices they use. Here is a sample of our discussions with the interviewee’s. Our goal was to find opportunities to solutionize an accessible device for their health and progress.

Reflection

What I Learned

I am not the user

It was easy for me to assume I knew the user’s needs before researching actual users. My hypothesis to what I thought were user problems, were not actually a pain point experienced by any of them. If I neglected diligent researching of actual users, I risk creating a solution to a problem no one shared.

Always ask why

It was important to continue asking myself why I was designing an experience a certain way. If it did not align with the user’s pain points, I needed to rethink my motives.
